Last night Katie and I attended the Action Sandy Hill (ASH) AGM.  Action Sandy Hill is a community organization in our neighbourhood that organizes community events, provides the community with a voice in local issues and supports other neighbourhood groups and events.

Katie, Indigo and I received their Volunteers of the Year award for our work with the Sandy Hill Holiday Food Drive and the Mann Ave Fire Game & Pizza Night.  It was great to receive the award and it was a very interesting meeting.

Before the award was presented our MP, MPP and city councilor gave reports to ASH on the status of various local issues.  I was surprised by how lively and well attended the meeting was.  Katie and I joined up and once  the Right to Play/Jumpstart event is put to bed I'm sure we'll get more involved.
