If you visit report on greens that's what you'll find at the top.  I guess it's the motto of RoG, and how could you disagree?

I noticed that paragraph after reading the Chronicle Herald article title Greens may give May a break on leadership rules.  In a word the title is misleading.

After reading through the leadership race motions I get a feeling that we may be on the right track. Three of the four motions transition us from a fixed leadership term to a variable term. There is a question about the threshold of support the leader must achieve to avoid a contest. Steve Kisby suggests 50% where Richard Tyssen suggests 60% and Rob does not specify. Personally I think 50% is fine however if we wanted to raise the bar I would use 2/3. I also like the 2 year review in the event that we go more than 2 years without an election (like the 90s). Richard has another good idea.

There has been a tonne of talk going on lately about the (un)fairness of the current GPO leadership race.  There are many concerns some of them valid some not so much.  One big concern is that people on the PE are campaigning for a candidate.  This can be seen as being very unfair but not everyone agrees.  So how do we move forward?  How do we get around this issue?

I'm sorry but this maybe more controversial than kittens.  I have two good examples on why people who are employed by, or are elected to a political party should just do their jobs and not get caught up in internal campaigns.

Steven Fishman has created facebook group asking that the leadership contest rules be changes to allow him to run.  The problem is that to be (or run to be) leader of the GPO you must have been a member of the party for 6 months.
