Whenever I bring up a poll result that is particularly positive those who champion the idea that the GPC is in an awful state bring up the fact that it's just one poll and we shouldn't read too much in to it. You know what? They're right, one poll doesn't really mean much. Of course they are guilty of it too. They post polls with more negative results with the same glee I post polls with mo

Submitted by Dave Bagler on Wed, 01/27/2010 - 15:03
Yesterday's release of Vision Green reminded me of something. It gets lost in the frivolous law suits, staff changes, scorched earth campaigns against the leader, and federal council members with the press on speed dial. It's that we quite simply have the best vision for Canada. Our policies on nearly every issue facing Canadians are second to none.
We've Got Vision
Submitted by Dave Bagler on Mon, 01/25/2010 - 13:10The GPC launched the new and improved Vision Green today at few press conferences across the country.
One thing that really stood out to me was focus on the future. Policies addressing youth unemployment (currently at record highs) and the affordability of post-secondary education are desperately needed and the Green Party delivered. There can be no doubt that the best party for youth is the Green Party. With a policy like this it will be difficult for NDP front group CFS to dismiss us.
New Poll for the New Year

A new EKOS poll was released this morning that has the GPC at 13.4% nationally. I think it's awesome and probably related to Elizabeth speaking out so strongly and early against prorogation and Canadians' general dissatisfaction with the old line parties. What I find more promising than the national numbers are the provincial/regional breakdowns and the momentum.
Liberal Materials
Submitted by Dave Bagler on Mon, 11/23/2009 - 11:20The Ontario Young Liberals have a postcard that they have been distributing on campuses across the province which strongly states that we need to Stand Up For Kyoto. Their point I guess is that Canada needs to take strong action to reduce emissions and make good on our international commitments. Bravo, I could not agree more.
Copenhagen
Submitted by Dave Bagler on Fri, 11/20/2009 - 11:58I know that I normally avoid talking about policy on this blog but I couldn't resist. With the climate talks and Copenhagen quickly approaching I thought that I would take the time to explain that there is only one party that will take serious actions to address climate change.
Great Guelph Green News
Submitted by Dave Bagler on Wed, 10/28/2009 - 09:21I looked far and wide for a synonym for news that started with a 'g' but it was simply not to be. Last night Bob Bell the Guelph city councilor for Ward 1 was selected to be the next Green Party of Canada candidate.
This is great news for a strong Green riding. They can build off of their impressive 2008 results with a strong local candidate who is known in the community and has already proven his electability.
Hill Filled
Submitted by Dave Bagler on Mon, 10/26/2009 - 07:48Fill the Hill was this Saturday and it was a very successful outing for the Green Party. Katie had the great idea a week or so ago to make an other batch of the new Young Greens buttons for Power Shift/Fill the Hill. We ordered 500 assuming that we would be able to give out most of them and still have some leftover to have available to visitors of the office or other small events.
Real Outrage
Submitted by Dave Bagler on Wed, 10/14/2009 - 10:55Old Conservatives are acting outraged by the Young Greens use of a censored f-word. Well I don't think many young people think the f-word is outrageous here some real reasons why young people are angry:
