Calling Tonight!

We are kicking off our (hopefully) weekly phone canvassing night tonight (Wednesday, November 18th) at the Green Party of Canada office (75 Albert St Unit 305).

We'll be starting at 9:30PM and going until 11:00PM which from my experience I think will be the best time to make calls.  Katie did a little math that showed just how much this can help.

If ten people call for 90 minutes we can reach over 1,000 voters!

Hopefully there will be more than 10 people there tonight and hopefully I'll see you there. Read more »

Establishing a Local Presence

More than 350 people filled a muggy Vic West hall to listen to federal and provincial bureaucrats outline the approval process on a proposed 48-berth marina that has raised the ire of Victorians, but what they heard was Green party Leader Elizabeth May establish her presence in Victoria. ~ Joanne Hatherly, Times Colonist

It's great to see Elizabeth May gaining attention for local issues in Victoria.

May, however, stole the show when she clashed with Savoie over a point of clarification on whether the project is covered by the Navigable Waters Protection Act.

Winning over local voters on local issues. Seems like a great idea to me.
