So I was thinking that a few of you probably read through all 10 of the resolution posts but most of you probably skimmed a couple and probably decided to wait for a summary. So, here’s a summary. Make sure that you read all of the governance and policy resolutions. Also for reference you should review the current constitution and Vision Green.

Thankfully we have reached the end of the policy resolutions. Today is the final part: Intergovernmental Relations, oh joy. Gauging by the discussion page for each motion of all the sections this one seems to have captivated the least interest. As of this writing only one resolutions has any discussion at all. I'm pro-police.  I like police, I think they are necessary.  I generally try to give them the benefit of the doubt when I hear complaints from protesters or other activists.  The way I see it they are under a lot of stress in situations like these and often have to react with not nearly enough time to weigh their options or think of the consequences.  I often have the impression that while there are some bad apples the vast majority of officers are good people who are working with the orders they are given.  However, after seeing this:

OK, this week I'll be going through the policy motions. Congratulations if you made it though lasts weeks posts.  Like the governance resolutions there are five sections that I will tackle one day at a time.  I'm starting with the Economy and Finance section as they're are the resolutions listed first on the website. New EKOS polls is out (you can find the full report here) and has us sitting at 13% up a bit at one of our highest levels since EKOS introduced the other option. Taking margin of error into account its where we have been sitting for months. In fact (going by the weekly tracking graph in this report) we have been hovering above 10% since November of last year and we're working our way towards 20% in BC.

One in ten Canadians have consistently throughout 2010 selected the Green Party of Canada as their first choice even when given an true none of the above option with Other. This poll also pegged the GPC's second choice support at 11%.

We've made it! Today's part five of five on Governance Resolutions. We're going to tackle Regional Organizing resolutions. There are many resolutions but a solid chunk simple codify our current standing procedures. Here's is a link to our current constitution.

OK part four of five on Governance Resolutions. Today we tackle Leadership resolutions. This should be fun. Here's a link to our current constitution. I assume that these resolutions will be the most contentious at the BGM. We have an opportunity to help our party mature in to a more professional political organization of course we also have the option to shoot our selves in the foot.
