I looked far and wide for a synonym for news that started with a 'g' but it was simply not to be.  Last night Bob Bell the Guelph city councilor for Ward 1 was selected to be the next Green Party of Canada candidate.

This is great news for a strong Green riding.  They can build off of their impressive 2008 results with a strong local candidate who is known in the community and has already proven his electability.

Bob was elected to the city council of Guelph in 2006 with 32.32% of the vote.  He admits it will take a mountain of effort be he plans to win in the next federal election.
