Four Seats
This morning a rather positive EKOS poll was released and it included an even more positive seat projection. Now before the haters start (and let's face it haters gotta hate) up on how this is only one poll and that seat projections don't mean anything, blah, blah, Elizabeth May is powered by kitten tears, blah. Yes I realize that and you know what? I don't even think this polls is great news but rather news of great opportunity.
The seat projection has us with four seats in total, one in Ontario (if I had to guess I'd say Guelph or BGOS) and three in BC. What does this mean? Does it mean that we'll win 4 seats? No, but it does mean that we can.
It means that we have enough support to make some big gains, but it also means that we need the skills and resources to identify our supporters and get them to the polls.
Which is why events like tomorrow's Training Day in Ottawa are so important. As part of the Green Party of Ontario's AGM weekend there are training sessions all Friday covering various essential areas of campaigning.

I know the poll is GPC and the event is GPO but the skills learned in this workshops will certainly translate.
If you are in the Ottawa area do yourself a favor and make sure you attend the training day. If you can swing it I suggest having at least three people from your riding there so that you can get at least one person into every workshop. There's going to be a lot of great advice and you really don't want to miss a thing. Make sure to bring something to take notes.
I hope to see lots of you there.
