The political parties came to support it late in the game with the exception of Elizabeth May from the Green Party who is the only leader who seems to understand social movement politics

not only that....
She was on to Canada's democratic deficit a long while ago and can talk about it convincingly. I was SO happy to see her take the lectern on Saturday! And I believe Mr. Rivard did the same in Montreal.
