The Green Party of OntarioToday we're one year away from the next Ontario general election. Since being nominated as the Green Party of Ontario candidate for Ottawa-Vanier, I have been busy preparing to hit the pavement as soon as the municipal elections are over.

OTTAWA - The next provincial election is one year away and the Green Party of Ontario has already selected their candidate.

Green Party members selected Dave Bagler, a local software developer and Sandy Hill Volunteer of the Year. Bagler has been an active member of both the Green Party of Canada and Ontario since the 2006 by-election in London North Centre and has set some ambitious goals for the campaign.

The Green Party of OntarioI generally read the news online. I have set up a few news alerts that I check with google reader. When it comes to coverage of the Green Party of Ontario, I see lots of coverage in smaller local and regional papers around the province.

In late 2005 I joined the Green Party. I had always been interested in politics but hadn’t found a party I could believe in until I read the Green Party of Canada’s 2004 election platform.

Join the Green Team for the Ottawa Aids WalkOn Saturday September 25th the Green Party will be participating in the Ottawa Aids Walk as the Green Team.

These are the kind of events that show voters that the Green Party and (perhaps more importantly) Green Party members are active and involved members of their community, it’s also for a great cause.

GPC LogoCraig Cantin is currently the interim executive director of the Green Party of Canada. I have worked for Craig in the past and consider him a friend and mentor. He is great at what he does and had he decided to stay on as ED I think we would have done wonderfully.
